That Time My Ancestors Saved My Son's life
When Your Ancestors Hijack Your Coffee Break, It's Always For a Good Reason ☕️
I'm standing in our kitchen, watching my husband make his fourth cup of coffee of the day. 😵💫 I'm half listening to the story he's trying to tell and half shooting Blair Witch Project vibes at him with my eyes — his cup of coffee had better not keep me awake tonight.
I must have gone too far with the evil forest witch vibes because my eyesight goes blurry and a second version of reality slips itself over the scene like a cracked View-Master from circa 1984.
In this new scene, my 9-year old niece runs into my kitchen telling me to come quick! Something is wrong with one of my kids. She turns around and dashes back out. I watch myself follow her.
I shake my head, blink my eyes several times and interrupt my husband's story.
"I think I just had a waking vision." I tell him.

I didn't know what to do with the information I'd just been given. I have two children and I wasn't sure which one the vision was about. All I could tell was that a) it was serious but that b) it would be okay.
I was in the middle of a two-year apprenticeship with a spiritual worker and we had recently finished up a whole initiation into ancestral work. Knowing without a doubt that my ancestors had a very vested interest in keeping my children safe, I prayed to my ancestors and I waited.

One week later, to the day, I was upstairs in my house when I heard a crash and a heart-stopping scream coming from next door, at the guest lodge my husband runs with his sisters.
And where my children were currently playing.
I ran downstairs and out the door, just as my 9-year old niece was running in to get me.
Just like the vision.
While trying to evade a game of Tag, my eldest (and only 6-years old at the time) had run to the front door, missed the door handle and put his arm right through the pane of old glass. He was currently on the front porch, in the middle of a panic attack, with his aunts gathered around him trying to stop the bleeding.
There was only one guest at the lodge that weekend-- a friend of my husband's who had finally been able to bring his wife to visit us. This friend loved to stay at our lodge and ride his mountain bike on our trails with my husband but his wife was never able to join him because she had a high-demanding job-- a job that kept her working nights, weekends and odd but long hours.
Her job?
She was an emergency room doctor.
And she had just witnessed my son's accident.
Keep my children safe and ensure I always have what I need to take care of them.

The emergency room doctor quickly command of the situation, grabbing the medical bag she always traveled with and giving instructions to lay my son on the large kitchen table. My husband's sisters ran to gather hot water, towels and a headlight for the doctor to wear. My husband, who probably missed his calling as an emergency room doctor himself, stood at the ready to assist. I sat at my son's head, whispering and patting him with reassurance. He was still in full-blown panic mode and I was doing everything I could to keep myself from joining him.
Water, towels, light and tools gathered, the doctor began to stitch his tiny arm, just below, and right at, the wrist.
Twenty-two stitches later, she was done. She said it was a miracle, but he hadn't cut any veins or tendons. She said we could take him to the hospital if we wanted to but all we needed to do now was keep the wound clean and help him manage any pain he might have over the course of the next few days.
She said it was a miracle.
But I knew it was my ancestors.
And that she was the miracle.
Keep my children safe and ensure I always have what I need to take care of them.

This is 100% a true story that happened in 2018.
I mean it when I say your intuition can save lives and I have firsthand experience of the very real impact working with your ancestral guardian can have in your life — beyond the spiritual edification.
In my new psychic awakening mentorship and support program, we'll work together to hone your intuition and connect with your ancestors, and we won't move on until I'm certain you've got it.
We start July 1st!
I just about cried when I read that she was an ER doctor. Thank you for sharing.
I've also only had one waking vision, and it has yet to come true, although it wasn't a warning one.
